Access & Facilities
South Bank is a place for people and part of that means making sure it is accessible and manageable for all visitors. South Bank has a proud tradition of supporting Queenslanders living with disabilities. Adults or children with an impairment, whether it be physical, intellectual or psychological, are encouraged to attend and enjoy all aspects of the South Bank precinct. The latest addition to The Parklands at South Bank is the Boat Pool, featuring with a specially designed ramp to provide much safer and easier access for visitors in wheelchairs. Regular wheelchairs and pool wheelchairs can be hired from the South Bank Visitor Centre. Pool wheelchairs are purpose built and are available for use in the South Bank Boat Pool only (adjacent to Streets Beach).
The underground car park has a total of eight disabled parking bays located on Level B1 close to lifts. A total of four bays are located at each of the northern and southern ends of the car park, adjacent to both lifts and stairs. Services and Facilities
A range of services and facilities are available to assist visitors including, wheelchair and stroller which are avialable for hire from the South Bank Visitor Centre.
Half Day: $6:50 (up to 4hrs)
Full Day: $12.50 (over 4hrs, until 5:00pm)
Speciality wheelchairs
A purpose built Pool Wheelchair is available for hire for use in the South Bank Boating Pond only. A Beach Wheelchair is also available for hire for use at Streets Beach. A maximum 2 hour hire period applies. For all wheelchair hire a $50 deposit is required. For child stroller hire a $20 deposit is required. ID must be sighted and details will be recorded on hire booking form.
Locker Hire
Lockers are available for temporary hire and are located in Stanley Street Plaza near Streets Beach.
$4 for 3-hour hire
$8 for 6-hour hire

The shower facilities at South Bank are located in Stanley Street Plaza.

ATM Machines
