Access & Facilities

Parking 

In addition to on-street parking, South Bank has an underground car park located on Little Stanley Street. This car park has several disabled parking bays which are conveniently located near the car park lifts at the northern and southern ends of level B1. Bathroom facilities

South Bank has a range of bathroom facilities conveniently located around the precinct. Showers are located in Stanley Street Plaza, and toilets are located at the Piazza, the Central Cafes, Stanley Street Plaza, Little Stanley Street and River Quay. Standard disabled bathrooms are located at the Piazza and Stanley Street Plaza, while a specially designed disabled bathroom that has a toilet lifting hoist, dressing table, shower and shower bed is located behind the Central Cafes. Parents Room

There are two Parents Rooms at South Bank. The main Parents Room is located in the Allgas Building in Stanley Street Plaza and contains a microwave and change table, and the other Parents Room contains a change table and is located in Stanley Street Plaza, next to Cactus Republic. 

Wheelchair and stroller hire

Wheelchairs and strollers are both available for hire from the South Bank Visitor Centre. As well as standard wheelchairs, we also have a purpose built pool wheelchair and a purpose built beach wheelchair available. Standard wheelchair and stroller hire fees are $6.50 for a half a day (up to four hours) and $12.50 a full day (four hours and over, until 5:00pm). The pool wheelchair and beach wheelchair are free to use, and can be hired for a maximum of two hours only. 

When hiring all wheelchairs (including the pool and beach wheelchairs) you must present photo ID and leave a $50 deposit which will be refunded when you return the wheelchair. When hiring a stroller, you must present photo ID and leave a $20 deposit which will be refunded when you return the stroller. 

Locker hire

Lockers are available for temporary hire in Stanley Street Plaza, near Streets Beach.  Hire fees are $4 for three hours and $8 for six hours.

Lost property

All lost property is returned to the South Bank Visitor Centre. If you have something you want to hand in, or are looking for a lost item, please contact the Visitor Centre on (07) 3867 2051, email them at visitorcentre [at] south-bank [dot] net [dot] au or visit them at the ground level of South Bank House, Stanley Street Plaza (next to Max Brenner). 

Bicycle racks and repair

South Bank has several bicycle racks which are located at the Clem Jones Promenade, the Central Cafes, and Grey Street (outside the South Bank Cinemas). We also have two bicycle repair stations in the precinct which are free to use and allow you to change a flat tyre or service your bike. They are located on Little Stanley Street (near Garage Espresso), and on the Clem Jones Promenade (outside the River Lookout Cruise Terminal). 

Automated Teller Machines (ATM)

If you need to get money out at South Bank, there are Commonwealth Bank and ANZ ATMs at Stanley Street Plaza, a Suncorp ATM at the Central Cafes, a Westpac ATM on Grey Street and a rediATM , Bank of Queensland and Commonwealth Bank ATM on Little Stanley Street.
