A unique, man-made swimming beach, Streets Beach overlooks the brilliant Brisbane River and the expansive city skyline. Conceived as a major piece of landscape, Streets Beach has a sparkling clean crystal-clear lagoon with white sandy beaches, palm trees, pebbled creeks and shady shallows surrounded by sub-tropical trees and exotic plants. Safety is extremely important to the South Bank aesthetic and you can be assured that Streets Beach is patrolled by experienced, professional lifeguards seven days a week. Calm waters ensure there are no waves or dangerous rips like on coastal beaches.

Streets Beach is a great place to relax and have fun with friends and family. To ensure the safety of all of our visitors, Streets Beach is patrolled by qualified lifeguards at the following times:

• 7:00am-7:00pm from 1 February 2012 until 31 March 2012
• 9:00am-5:00pm from 1 April 2012 until 31 August 2012.

Patrol times change throughout the year so check this page regularly for the latest information.

*The Main Lagoon will be closed routine maintenance from midnight Wednesday 22 February until 12pm Thursday 23 February 2012. The Main Lagoon will re-open to the public from 12pm.
