Parking Guidance System

Keep your eyes peeled!  

The system provides available space indication for, and direction to, the following car parks in the South Bank area:
1. Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre Car Parks (off Grey and Merivale Streets)
2. The South Bank Parklands Underground Car Park (off Little Stanley Street)
3. QPAC, Museum/Art Gallery, State Library and the Millennium Arts Centre (off Grey Street).

South Bank Parklands Underground Carpark

The Parklands Underground Carpark has more than 800 car parking spaces. Access is via Tribune Street or Little Stanley Street South Bank.

The underground car park has a total of 8 x disabled parking bays
located on Level B1.

A total of 4 x disabled bays are located at each of the northern and southern
ends of the car park, adjacent to both lifts and stairs.

A.  MONDAY - FRIDAY (Entry from 5.00am to 6.00pm)

0 - 1 hour                 $6
1 - 2 hours               $12
2 - 3 hours               $18
3 - 4 hours               $24
4 - 5 hours               $30

Early Birds             $25

 - Park on Lower Level B2
 - Enter before 9.30am
 - Exit before 6.00pm (exits after 6pm will incur an additional fee based on Table A above)

Night Rate               $15

 - Enter after 6.00pm
 - Exit before 1.00am (exits after 1.00am will incur an additional fee based on Table A above)

B.  SATURDAY & SUNDAY

Park for up to 4 hours              $15

 - If the 4 hour time limit is exceeded, normal car parking rates apply (see rates under section A above), calculated from the time of entry into the car park

C.  LATE LET OUT FEE

 - From 1.00am to 5.00am        $80

South Bank Cinema patrons can park in South Bank Parkland carpark for only $2.  Conditions Apply, see voucher for details.

Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre Carpark

 
Open 24 hours 7 days a week.

Automatic pay machines are located in the Exhibition Concourse on the Foyer Level of the Centre and at the Russell Street Exit. There are internal elevators and stair access from the car park to and from the convention and exhibition facilities.

QPAC & Cultural Centre Carpark

Traffic into QPAC has been reduced to one lane in each direction. Please take particular notice of directional signage in and around South Bank for car parking options.

Pre-paid Theatre Parking

Take advantage of the pre-paid car parking service, which offers guaranteed, safe and convenient parking for your visit to the theatre. The car park ticket will be issued with your theatre tickets, ready for you to use on the night. This facility is limited per performance, so arrange your car parking early! QPAC Car Park

 Entry via Stanley Street

7am to 10pm - Monday
7am to midnight - Tuesday to Friday
8.30am to midnight - Saturday
8.30am to 10.00pm - Sunday

$12 per entry, day and night.

Cultural Centre Car Park
 

(direct access to the Queensland Art Gallery, Museum & Sciencentre)
Entry via Stanley Street tunnel or Grey Street (next to the Dinosaur Garden)

Operating hours:
7am to 10pm - Monday
7am to midnight - Tuesday to Friday
8.30am to midnight - Saturday
Sunday 8.30am to 5.30pm

Every day
$10-$12 per entry, day and night.

Parking Enforcement at South Bank

Brisbane City Council patrols kerb side parking within the South Bank Corporation area. This has been initiated by the South Bank Corporation to ensure effective utilisation of available parking spaces. Alternative parking arrangements for long term stays greater than one hour are available in the local area.
 
Infringement notices may be issued to any illegally parked vehicles on South Bank road related areas.

South Bank has plenty of parking options!  There are special deals for theatre goers, diners at South Bank, students and people who enter before or after peak times.

At very busy times, the carparks may become full. We encourage people to catch public transport to South Bank for events such as New Year’s Eve or Riverfire.
