Services & Facilities

A range of services and facilities are available to assist visitors in having a convenient and enjoyable visit.

Wheelchair / Stroller Hire

Wheelchair and stroller hire is available from the South Bank Visitor Centre.

1 hour - $4.40
2 hours - $5.50
over 2 hours - $7.70
(Must be returned by 5pm)

Pool Wheelchair Hire

A purpose built pool wheelchair is available for hire for use in the South Bank Boating Pond only. 

Free to hire.
2 hour limit on use.


All wheelchairs require a deposit of $20.  Driver's licence must be sighted.

Internet access

The South Bank Visitor Centre offers internet access to the general public, allowing travellers and visitors to South Bank the opportunity to catch up with their e-mail or search for websites.

Operating hours of internet access for the public 9am - 5pm daily

Cost:
$1 per 10 minutes or part thereof

Locker Hire

Lockers are available to hire at South Bank and are located in Stanley Street Plaza near Streets Beach. The lockers are medium size.

Costs:
$4 for 3 hour hire
$8 for 6 hour hire

For lost property at South Bank please contact the South Bank Visitor Centre (next to the Plough Inn) or call on 07 3867 2051

Shower facilities

The shower facilities at South Bank are located in Stanley Street Plaza.

Bicycle racks

You’ll find bicycle racks:

  • outside the South Bank Visitor Centre in Stanley Street Plaza 
  • along Clem Jones Promenade 
  • on the Boardwalk 
  • at Suncorp Piazza and
  • on Little Stanley Street.

ATMs (Automatic Teller Machines)

Commonwealth and ANZ ATM – in Stanley Street Plaza, beside the Visitor Information Centre.
Suncorp ATM – in the Central Cafes between Kapsali restaurant and New Zealand Natural ice cream shop.
Westpac ATM (x2) – in Grey Street, opposite the South Bank 5 Cinema complex.
Bank of Queensland – ATM and Branch in Little Stanley Street.
