Walking & Cycling
Time spent outdoors can nourish the soul, expand horizons and renew the senses. A light dose of sunshine will invigorate your frame of mind, a cool breeze will brighten your mood and a bout of exercise will lift your spirits. Get your heart pumping and your muscles moving at one of many cycling and walking tracks around the South Bank grounds. Soak up the magnificent riverside vistas along the Clem Jones Promenade, or the iconic bougainvillea-covered Arbour. Within easy walking distance of the CBD, visitors to South Bank can stroll, jog or cycle across the Victoria Bridge and the Goodwill Bridge for a seamless riverbank connection. Scenic tracks link up the South Bank precinct to neighbouring suburbs of South Brisbane and Kangaroo Point. From The Parklands, you can cross the Goodwill Bridge to the city centre via Queensland University of Technology’s Gardens Point campus or continue along the river to soak up the wonderful view as you approach the Kangaroo Point Cliffs.
