To ensure all events are delivered safely, professionally, and in harmony with the precinct’s operations, all organisers must follow the event application process and adhere to key operational requirements.
To host your event at South Bank, please complete and submit an Event Enquiry Form with your proposed dates, preferred location(s), event concept, budget, and estimated attendance. All enquiries are assessed against key selection criteria to ensure alignment with South Bank Corporation’s Event Policy. Please note the below lead times:
Event Type & Minimum Application Notice
Events with more than 1,000 people - Minimum 16 weeks
Events with less than 1,000 people - Minimum 12 weeks
Cultural Forecourt Events - Minimum 6 months
South Bank Corporation reserves the right to decline enquiries submitted with insufficient notice.
Please note weddings are not permitted in South Bank parklands.

If you are planning a fun run or a charity walk which passes through South Bank along the Clem Jones Promenade, an Event Enquiry Form must be completed. This will allow our events team to assess your enquiry and ensure there are no conflicting event or maintenance bookings. A risk assessment and layout plan will be requested should your enquiry be provisionally approved.
Please note– no infrastructure or signage is to be installed at South Bank without prior approval from South Bank Corporation.
