Brisbane’s latest winter obsession isn’t a fitness trend, a cold plunge or a 6am social meetup. It’s curry. Rich, slow-cooked, deeply comforting curry.
This June and July, South Bank favourite Ma Pa Me is launching Winter Curry Club, a limited-time dining series designed entirely around the kind of food people crave when the temperature drops. The concept is simple but dangerously effective. Every week, one signature curry takes over the menu for seven days only before disappearing and making way for the next winter warmer.
No repeats. No extended runs. No second chances.
Adding to the intrigue, each weekly curry release arrives alongside an exclusive offer available only to mailing list subscribers. Think complimentary fluffy roti, curated drink pairings, chef specials and limited-time additions quietly reserved for those in the club.
And in true members-only fashion, the full lineup is staying tightly under wraps.
Still, rumours circulating from the kitchen suggest some of Ma Pa Me’s most-loved dishes are likely to make an appearance across the season, including the slow-cooked beef cheek rendang, fragrant barramundi yellow curry and the restaurant’s cult vegan jackfruit rendang.
The first Winter Curry Club release lands on 1 June, kicking off two months of rotating weekly specials designed to give Brisbane diners a very compelling reason to trade meal prep for riverside dinners.
At a time of year built for comfort food, Ma Pa Me has managed to turn winter dining into something that feels part secret society, part weekly ritual. And honestly, Brisbane foodies probably won’t want to miss a single week.
Sign up, stay cosy, and secure your place in Ma Pa Me’s Winter Curry Club before the season disappears here.
