Which World Cup matches will be shown at South Bank?

The World Cup Live Site will screen all scheduled Socceroos group stage matches:

Australia v Türkiye – Sunday 14 June, 2:00pm

Australia v USA – Saturday 20 June, 5:00am

Australia v Paraguay – Friday 26 June, 12:00pm

In addition, extended viewing will operate on Socceroos match days, allowing fans to enjoy other FIFA World Cup™ matches before and after Australia's games.

Do I need a ticket to attend?

Entry is free, however fans are encouraged to register their interest online to assist with event planning and capacity management.

Entry to the Live Site is on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to capacity limits.

Is general admission standing?

Yes. All areas within the Live Site are General Admission (standing).

‍

Any reference to a “seat number” on registration or ticketing is for system purposes only and does not indicate an allocated seat.

Is the Live Site cashless?

Yes. The Live Site is a fully cashless event.

‍

All food and drinks must be purchased via card or contactless payment only.

What happens if the Live Site reaches capacity?

The Live Site operates with a maximum capacity to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons.

‍

If capacity is reached, entry will be temporarily paused or closed until sufficient numbers have exited the venue.

‍

We recommend arriving early, particularly for Socceroos matches.

What should I expect at the gate?

There is one main entry point to the Live Site. Please refer to the event map for exact location.

At entry, patrons will go through:

Bag checks

Security screening

ID checks (where required)

Removal and disposal of prohibited items

Illegal or prohibited items will be confiscated.

What can I bring?

We encourage fans to bring the essentials and their team spirit:

Valid photo ID

EFTPOS/credit card (site is cashless)

Sealed soft plastic water bottles (up to 600ml)

Empty soft plastic bottles (up to 600ml, no lids for refill stations)

Small bags/backpacks (must be smaller than A4)

What am I not allowed to bring?

Glass (including bottles and perfume bottles)

Can I bring food and drinks?

Outside food and beverages are not permitted.

A range of food trucks, coffee carts and beverage outlets will be available onsite.

Can I bring a water bottle?

Yes. Empty or sealed soft plastic bottles (up to 600ml) are permitted.

Free water refill stations will be available onsite.

‍

Glass, metal bottles and hard containers are not permitted. There are no storage facilities on site, and these items will not be returned at the end of the game.

Will alcohol be available?

Yes. Alcohol will be available for purchase from licensed vendors onsite from 10am.

‍

Valid ID is required and an event wristband must be obtained to purchase alcohol.

Responsible Service of Alcohol conditions apply at all times.

Is the Live Site family-friendly?

Yes. The Live Site is a family-friendly event designed for all ages.

We ask all attendees to help maintain a safe, welcoming and respectful atmosphere.

Behaviour such as harassment, discrimination, or unsafe conduct is not in line with the spirit of the event and will not be tolerated.

Can I bring my children?

Yes. Children are welcome.

‍

Children under 15 must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18+).

‍

Unaccompanied minors will not be permitted entry.

What should I expect at the gate?

There is one main entry point to the Live Site.

‍

Expect bag checks, security screening, ID checks and removal of prohibited items.

Staff will be onsite to assist with entry flow.

What happens if it rains?

The Live Site is an outdoor, all-weather event.

‍

Light rain will not stop screenings. In extreme weather conditions, updates will be communicated via the website and official channels.

Is there smoking or vaping onsite?

No. The Live Site is a smoke-free and vape-free zone.

Is there first aid onsite?

Yes. First Aid/Medical services will be available onsite.

If you need assistance, speak to any staff member or security officer.

Is there a cloakroom?

No cloakroom is available.

‍

Prohibited items cannot be stored onsite and may be disposed of, so please check conditions before attending.

Will there be merchandise?

No merchandise will be sold at the Live Site.

Is there an information point?

There is no dedicated information tent. Staff and security will be available throughout the site to assist.

Is the site accessible?

Yes. The Live Site includes:

Accessible toilets

Companion access (one companion per accessibility patron)

Accessibility registrations are encouraged prior to attendance.

Where can I watch other World Cup matches?

In addition to Socceroos match days, selected matches may be shown as part of extended viewing programming. Additional days may be added depending on demand and operational conditions.

What time does the site open?

The site generally operates from 4:00am to 5:00pm on match days, with hours varying depending on fixtures.

How do I get there?

Public transport is the easiest way to reach South Bank, including train, bus and ferry services.

South Bank Station and South Brisbane Station are both within walking distance.

Limited parking is available at South Bank Car Park via Tribune and Little Stanley Street (subject to availability).

South Bank Car Park will be open from 4am on Saturday 20 June for the 5am Socceroo’s game.
