On the Banks: Just Dropped Four Huge New Artists

South Bank is levelling up your summer soundtrack with On The Banks, a brand-new outdoor live music series presented by South Bank and QPAC, and the first artist announcements are already massive. If you missed the first round of artists, check them out here and get to securing your tickets ASAP.

Hitting the Cultural Forecourt in February and March 2026, this open-air series is shaping up to be unforgettable, featuring a knockout lineup of local and international talent.

And now for the big news: Marina, King Stingray, Grace Jones and Maoli are officially locked in.

MARINA returns to Australian soil this February for the first time since 2011, following her acclaimed festival run and headline shows, bringing with her the euphoric energy of PRINCESS OF POWER. Written during a period of deep personal reflection, the album marks a bold new chapter for the platinum selling artist. Joined by Brisbane born favourite Mallrat as special guest. on 26 February. Then there’s King Stingray, the Arnhem Land surf-rock legends who have become one of Australia’s most electrifying live acts. Their high-energy, Yolŋu-driven sound is guaranteed to create an epic atmosphere across the Forecourt on 25 February. Secure tickets here.

Then it’s Grace Jones, a once-in-a-generation force of nature whose influence has shaped music, fashion and culture for more than four decades. From disco icon to ever-evolving trailblazer, she brings her iconic artistry to the inaugural On the Banks series on 5 March. Ticket info available here.

Rounding out the second wave of announcements, Maoli bring brings his genre-blending island reggae and country soul to On the Banks, showcasing the sound that’s rapidly propelling him into the global mainstream..
