Weekend Breakfast Just Got a Mediterranean Makeover at Azure

Weekend breakfast is getting a Mediterranean makeover, and honestly, we’re here for it. Azure has launched a new weekend breakfast menu, giving you a very good reason to swap the sleep-in for a riverside table, a proper feed and, if the mood strikes, a mimosa or two.

‍

Available every Saturday and Sunday from 7.30am to 11am, the new menu brings together Mediterranean-inspired flavours, breakfast favourites and plenty of reasons to settle in for a slow morning overlooking the Brisbane River.

‍

First things first, the sweet tooth is well catered for. The honey pistachio French toast pairs cinnamon brioche with rainforest honey, mascarpone and crushed pistachios, while the homemade Ibiza granola keeps things on the lighter side with mango yoghurt, berry compote, seasonal fruit, toasted nuts and coconut.

‍

On the savoury side, the Ionian island scramble brings eggs together with ripe Roma tomato, confit garlic and feta, while the Eggs in Athens puts a Mediterranean spin on a classic breakfast with bacon, spiced feta dip, cultured butter and toasted seeded sourdough.

‍

Then there’s the big stuff. The Hellenic big brekky for two is made for sharing, piled high with eggs, roasted lamb shoulder, bacon, hash browns, roasted mushrooms, feta dip, crushed avocado, sourdough and orange juice. Or go straight for the brekky burger, stacked with egg, streaky bacon and grilled halloumi, finished with tomato relish and spinach in a milk bun.

‍

Of course, no leisurely weekend breakfast is complete without something in your glass. From 9am, you can add a mimosa, Bellini or Bloody Mary to the occasion and officially turn breakfast into brunch.

‍

Whether you’re catching up with friends, planning a riverside date or simply looking for somewhere better than your kitchen table, Azure is making a strong case for starting the weekend slowly.

‍

Bring your appetite, grab a riverside table and make your next Saturday or Sunday morning a little more Mediterranean. Book here.
