Seafood lovers, this one’s calling your name.
This May, South Bank is serving up something big, fresh and seriously indulgent, with its first ever seafood festival set to take over River Quay Green for one weekend.
Landing on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May, the South Bank Seafood Festival is a two-day celebration of Queensland’s best catches, bringing together waterfront views, live entertainment and plenty of ocean-to-plate action.
Expect to graze your way through pop-up seafood stalls, track down oyster shuckers and sip your way between waterfront bars.
If you’re keen to level up your seafood game, the festival is packed with live chef demos, from filleting fish to nailing perfect wine pairings.
Oh, and did we mention celeb chef Matt Moran will be sharing his top tips, while viral Japanese seafood specialist Narito Ishii takes things up a notch with a show-stopping tuna cutting demonstration.
Beyond the bites, expect interactive masterclasses with chefs, producers and local fishermen, plus live bands and DJs keeping the energy high all weekend.
And if you’re in it for the long lunch, River Quay’s restaurants are going all in with exclusive festival menus. There is also a dedicated caviar and champagne pop-up by OTTO that’s worth arriving hungry for.
Here is where to book the good stuff:
