If tacos and margaritas are your love language, you’re going to want in. South Bank is leaning all the way into Cinco de Mayo this year, with a mix of one-night-only indulgence and week-long fiesta energy!
At Poca Madre, it’s all about the birria. On Tuesday 5 May from 5pm, the kitchen flips into a Bottomless Birria takeover, and yes, it is exactly as good as it sounds.
We’re talking slow-cooked, deeply savoury, dunk it in the juicy sauce goodness on repeat. It’s rich, it’s messy, and it’s designed for settling in rather than holding back. The kind of offering that knows exactly what it’s doing and commits to it.
Cancel Taco Tuesday as you know it. This is the upgrade. Book here.
Over at El Camino Cantina South Bank, they are running a fiesta from 4 to 10 May.
There’s a taco trio doing what it needs to do at $9.50 each, from pulled pork with chipotle and tajin to charred flank steak with salsa verde. The Spicy Pineapple Margarita is the move here, sweet, sharp and with just enough kick to keep things interesting.
Then on Saturday 9 May, things tip firmly into party territory. DJs, packed crowds and that high-energy atmosphere El Camino does so well.
Safe to say, this is how you do Cinco de Mayo right. Book here.
